TD Fails after Time Machine restore

Postby paulreddy » 18 Dec 2014, 00:46

All,

A couple of days ago, the SSD failed on my Mac Air. Instant death (as SSD's typically do). Fortunately I had TimeMachine and had backed up, so no major dramas.

Got a freshly imaged MacOSX (sadly - 10.9 rather than 10.0). Did a full restore from TM. Then upgrade.

TeamDrive refuses to run. When I start it manually, I get a dialog box with the following message:
Cannot access Database: unable to create database tables.

If I run it from the command line, I get:
Code: Select all
MyMac:MacOS Paul$ ./TeamDrive\ 3
2014-12-18 11:34:19.152 TeamDrive 3[2551:775310] modalSession has been exited prematurely - check for a reentrant call to endModalSession:

Looking in console, I see this:
Code: Select all
18/12/14 11:37:55.439 am TeamDrive 3[2585]: WARNING: The Gestalt selector gestaltSystemVersion is returning 10.9.1 instead of 10.10.1. Use NSProcessInfo's operatingSystemVersion property to get correct system version number.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Reinstall TD doesn't fix it.

I found this article that explained how to get around it:
http://forum.teamdrive.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2678&p=7767&hilit=restore#p7767

There's a trick they don't mention:
Never ever select "move files" rather than "copy files", even if you are low on space.
If the restore fails for any reason, then any attempt to restart it will
"delete" where it is at and start again. Meaning if you were doing a move you
just lost any files that had been copied.

Somehow my 10GB extension got lost (or didn't auto-renew??) just as the restore
started. Which caused it to fail. Restarting lost all files moved so far.
