Using a HTTP proxy with WebDAV

Postby dryak » 01 Apr 2010, 19:59

We're using TeamDrive at our work place, with the files shared on our own WebDAV server.
I run the Linux client version 2.2.070 on a laptop with OpenSUSE 11.2

While away on a trip, I would like to be able to still access to the updates from the WebDAV storage.
I can access our webDAV server through a proxy (works with Firefox, for example).

Now the questions :
  • How do I configure my TeamDrive client to use the proxy server ? Does TeamDrive honour the 'http_proxy' environment variable ? Or should I use a different way to configure it ?
  • Does TeamDrive support SOCKS proxy ? Or only HTTP proxy for webDAV ?

Thank you very much.

Hi dryak,

you can configure TD to use a proxy via the menu "extras" --> "Settings" --> "Proxy Settings". The proxy must support the "CONNECT-Method". SOCKS proxy is not supported. So for now you're stuck with HTTP proxy.

Cheers,
Florian
