Sorry Kenneth - I didn't see your responses.

Re: The new update, I will download it soon.

Re: Which settings would you need to retain? Any and all that stops me having to re-enter any information during re-installation of the software.

I must admit that I did not know about the "backup folder" or where it is and, if I had, I am not sure how I would have used that information instead of re-entering it after re-installation? (I had to add the spaces again and my TDPS details).

Kenneth - I notice that the new release download is 3.0.6 Build: 194 but the Release Notes refer to 3.0.6 Build: 192.

What is the difference between builds 192 & 194?

Restoring from the backup should restore all of those settings. Under the 'Backup' tab in 'Settings', select "Import from Backup" and the backup folder opens automatically and then you choose the .tdbk file you wish to restore. Once you click it, there is no confirmation or anything of that sort. You will just be back at the "Backup" tab. Close the "Settings" window and you should have archived Spaces on your "Spaces" tab. Then you just restore them. Using the backup files you are able to install TeamDrive on multiple computers without having to renter all of the server information or re-invite yourself to all Spaces. You just restore everything from the backup file(s).

Build 194 was released on Friday. The release notes will be posted today.

I now give up with upgrading TeamDrive.

I was about to install 3.0.6 Build 194 and noticed that none of the TD Spaces were updated or changes maintained via my TDPS since installing and then backing out Build 188. Looking at the 2 copies of the data (on my laptop and on my wife's laptop), I was able to take a backup of the latest version of each file in these spaces to a directory on my server.

I then deleted all spaces and upgraded both laptop versions of TD to 3.0.6 Build 194. I recreated the spaces, copied the data back, invited my wife to share. The only downside is that I lost previous versions.

In future, that is the procedue I will follow for all further upgrades. I can't afford to have all this hassle when upgrading TD.

As to the original issue, I haven't yet tested that it is fixed due to dealing with the above issue.

Restoring Spaces after an update is not necessary. The Spaces do not change. The Spaces only need to be restored when you uninstall TeamDrive. Everything should be on the server (the latest version of files). So no matter which version of TeamDrive you were using the files should still sync with the server and the latest version should be on the server. While files did not sync to the server may have something to do with the server setup. I think you uninstalled TeamDrive in order to downgrade to 3.0.6 (Build 169). Before you downgraded to 3.0.6 (Build 169) I assume everything was syncing just fine. Were the previous versions not on your TDPS?

To be honest, I really can't remember any more.

I do know that if I ever uninstall/reinstall or upgrade TD on our laptops in future, I will backup the data and be prepared to delete the spaces, ensure they are using my TDPS and re-create them + re-invite.

I can't afford to have my spaces not sync'ing at any time and if uninstalling/reinstalling or upgrading TD could cause this, I will protect my data in this way.
