Where is TDCLIENT-751 in 3.0.8.266?

Postby c273 » 18 Jan 2013, 16:24

I notice that the Release Notes for 3.0.8.266 includes a new feature: TDCLIENT-751: Make the Combobox of Max Versions to be stored on Server editable, to allow freely choosen [sic] value.

I use the free version of TD3 and only put data onto my own server using TD Personal Server 1.0.44 and never on your or anyone else's servers in the cloud.

Even though I don't have much local data, because I couldn't control how many versions are kept, the space used just grows and grows. I have previously asked for some control over how many versions are kept in this version. Does this new feature finally allow me to do so in my version of TD3?

If so, where can I get to it? Is it per space, per directory within a space or per file in the space?

If not, when are you going to add it to this version of TD?

Thanks for a great product (in other respects at least :) )

You have this option when creating a new Space. When creating a new Space you have the option to select how many versions are stored on the server. The default values are 1,3,5, 10 and unlimited. You can also click in this area and type whatever value you would like. This feature is only available with a professional license though. The only way to control versions in the free version is to delete them one-by-one. You can do so by right-clicking on them.

Given that the free version has much smaller space allowance, I would have thought it is was needed here much more than the Pro version.

Please reconsider this decision and please add to the free version, even if you then only restrict it to values of 1, 3 or unlimited.
