Resume broken uploads

Postby BjoernWesolowski » 05 May 2010, 10:57

Hello all,

what happens when a file upload is broken (e.g. due to loss of network connection)? Will TD automatically resume the upload or will the file again be transferred completely from the scratch?

Can you tell me whether it is possible to just run TD in case a proper internet connection is available (interesting in environments with different network connections / fallback connections like DSL as normal connection and UMTS as fallback connection)?

With best regards,

Björn

Teamdrive will restart the upload on the last kwown position (not working for WebDAV-spaces, because WebDAV doesn't support appending data on the server). At the end a checksum (not for WebDAV) and the length will be compared. If the compare fails the upload will restart.

Using TeamDrive in your fallback-environment should work, but we recommend not to use WebDAV.
