Server Errors

Postby gnphoto » 30 Nov 2011, 20:45

I just got the courage to update the TDPS 64-bit software on my Synology DS1511+ (Intel CPU) to version 1.0.047, but I also updated the client software to version 2.4.153 as well.

Now, I'm getting P1Keycode errors despite being able to create Spaces. I downgraded to version 2.4.117 and those errors have gone away and the new PS version seems to work much better than the previous version that I had to abandon and go back to the 'chrooted' 32-bit version.

Also, the stop-tdps and watch-tdps scripts use a ps option that is not supported by the default DSM installation's BusyBox. I needed to add the procps package via ipkg to use the option.

Update:

Viewing the tdpsd.log showed a TDPS version of 1.0.045 not 1.0.047 that I thought I had installed in the 64 bit (default DSM environment). I've now downloaded and installed version 1.0.047.

Now, I'm getting the P1KeyCode errors again. I'm going to reinstall the latest client software v2.4.153 to see if this all because of a version mismatch.

Somehow the tar file that I thought contained 1.0.047 actually had 1.0.045 in it. That server version (1.0.045) may not be compatible with the latest (2.4.153) of the client software.

I'm still getting P1KeyCode errors, but not as frequently and the client-server interaction seems more stable.

Viewing the tdpsd.log shows a batch of these errors every 300 seconds. Meanwhile, the client is busily uploading files from a recently created Space.

Update:

P1KeyCode server errors have stopped, but now the client is reporting Timeout errors on uploads and downloads.

There are 23 (TWENTY-THREE) tdpsd processes listed by ps!!! But, none seem to be communicating with the client.

Restarting the client doesn't reset the communications.

Restarting the server...'Host not reponding' reported in the Details pane after stopping the processes. After restart, client is communicating with server again...but for how long?

What causes these P1KeyCode errors? I am now seeing them in my server log. I think it coincides with when we purchased the licenses and I entered the license key on the server...
