Spaces stay offline

Postby GameMania » 12 Jul 2012, 15:54

Hello,

I have install Teamdrive on 2 computers, and it is working. Both computers gives the same files for a space.
Now, I have also downloaded and installed the Android App, and I got the invitation to join the space.
I accept these invitation, but after that, I don't receive any file ??? Also, the word "offline" appears under the name of the space.
What can be wrong ?

Thanks for any reaction.

Dirk, we uploaded a new Android app today. Please update your client.
If you dont see your space, invite yourself from your desktop again.

Hi Devteam,

Just downloaded version 3.0.053 (kernel 3.0.148) and created a new space 'Temp1' on my PC.

After 20 seconds, I received an invitation. When I click on the ">" arrow, I see the size 0 bytes and 0 files. Now, I accepted this space.

When going to the tab "Spaces", I see this new space, but again in small font the word 'offline'...

What can be wrong ???

Hi Dirk,

If you did not add any files, 0 byte 0 files is correct.
The offline flag comes up if the space cannot be accessed from the android device. This can be temporarily of might be caused by different wifi etc. settings.

Hi Ulrich,

Thanks for your reply.
The space on my computer has a lot of files and folders, but I have not added any file (and folder) on my android device.
I have the offline flag for all the spaces. I receive all invitations to join a space, so, what can be wrong with the wifi ? :?:

Dirk,

Which kind of Hosting Server are you using?
You will find the url at Server Information -> advanced in the side window of your desktop application.

Ulrich,

I have found the reason. My host server was a server on our own network, with the name http://myserver:37655/repo1/
It looks that android does not find this server correct, so changed into http://192.168.x.x:37655/repo1/ solves this issue.

Now, on my tablet, I have a lot of test spaces. How to delete these ???

Dirk,

with a long click you can change the type of the space to archive.
In the archives tab you have the option to either restore or delete the archive.

Hi Ulrich,

Some spaces will not be archived.
And because I can not archive them, I can also not delete them.

For example, I have the a space called 'Space123' which has exist on the server (but is deleted now).
In this space, I had 2 files, so I see these 2 files on my tablet, but I can't open them anymore.
Deleting these files is also not possible.
Renaming is also not possible.

Any solution ?
Can I find this somewhere with an explorer ?

Dirk, you are right,

we will have to present a delete option for that case.
I'm going to put that onto the list. You will find it in one of the next versions.
