IOS unable to join space

Postby mudderkage » 16 Oct 2012, 00:11

Hi,

My iPhone 4S with TeamDrive app 3.0.026 can't join my space.
It is just saying "Joining Space" for weeks without any visible progress. :(
The Win client works fine.

Do the IOS client have a problem if a space has _ in the name?

Best regards

Have you tried refreshing the screen or going to the Spaces tab to see if the Space is there and is accessible?

Have you tried to re-invite yourself to the Space and join again?

At noon today I tried deleting the space at the phone and reinviting.
Now 10 hours later it is still saying "Joining space".
When I press the > sign, I can see the "Size:" is increasing.
At the moment it says 2.016 G
30 minutes ago it was 1.830 G.

It looks like it downloads all the files.
I hope that is not the case, as I am planning on using TeamDrive with a storage size that is much bigger than the iPhone storage.
Setting shows "Local Storage Used" = 98.242 MB

What is the actual size of the Space you're inviting yourself to?

TeamDrive iOS is set to only download the metadata of the Space so it shouldn't download the entire 6.8GB of data.

That is exactly what I expected and then it makes no sense that it takes so long. :(

So the "size" is increasing correct? What does the "local cache size" say? That's the amount that's being stored on your iPhone. Also, a bug that will be fixed in the next release of TeamDrive iOS, TeamDrive does not operate in the background. The folder will only completely sync as long as TeamDrive is open.

Yes, size is increasing slowly and Local Storage Used is increasing.
Today Local Storage Used is 104.912 MB

I don't stop TeamDrive app, but the phone usually goes to sleep after a while.
I'll try disabling sleep...

The local storage used will increase for sure but it won't be 6.8GB. It will be a much smaller number because it's only storing the metadata.

Okay, as long as TeamDrive is open it should sync with the Space. Exiting TeamDrive and using another app would constitute TeamDrive having to run in the background and right now that isn't possible.
