How-to: Increasing 'depot almost full' notification limit

Postby Kenneth » 11 Dec 2014, 13:04

This description was intended for TeamDrive 3 clients

Usually, when you have used about 80% of your hostage storage limit (TDPS, TeamDrive cloud, etc.), TeamDrive notifies you that close to reaching your hosted storage limit.

For users with small hosted storage limits (e.g. 2 GB) this may be very practical but for users with large hosted storage limits (e.g. 100 GB) it may be less than necessary to receive a notification that you have ONLY 20 GB of hosted storage left.

With that said, it would be advantageous to be able to increase the 'your hosted storage depot is almost full" notification limit.

This limit can be manually set in the 'teamdrive.settings' file located in the TeamDrive database. You can find out where the TeamDrive database is by looking in the settings menu under the "General" tab. From there, the database path is located under the section "TeamDrive Cache, Temporary Transfer and Data Location.

Open the 'teamdrive.settings' file with a text editor and under the section '[Settings]' enter the following
suppress-depot-limit-warning= as well as a number that represents at which usage percentage (of your total hosted storage limit) the notification should be shown.

For example:

If you want the notification to be shown when you have used 95% of your hosted storage limit, enter
suppress-depot-limit-warning=95

If you want the notification to be shown when you have used 90% of your hosted storage limit, enter
suppress-depot-limit-warning=90
