How-to: iOS Support - Retrieving Device's Crash Log

Postby Kenneth » 23 Apr 2014, 12:34

When TeamDrive for iOS is behaving in an unexpected way and also crashes, it is helpful if you to send us the device's crash log. The log can provide us with more needed information to help us get you back up and running quickly.

How to find crash logs for iPhone applications on Mac OS X,Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8

iTunes sync
Application crash logs are transferred to your computer each time you sync the device in iTunes. Thus, first step is to sync the device with iTunes.
After syncing the device you will need to locate the crash logs on your local machine.

Mac OS X

On the Mac, crash logs are kept at:

~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME> (where ~ is your Home folder)

Windows Vista, 7 and 8

On Windows Vista, 7 and 8 crash logs are kept at:

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\<DEVICE_NAME>

AppData folder is hidden by default. You can quickly access the AppData\Roaming\ directory by opening Windows/File Explorer and typing "%appdata% in the search bar.

Windows XP

On Windows XP crash logs are kept at:

C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\<DEVICE_NAME>
